Play ‘n Go’s Bell of Fortune slot is a classic 3 reel 1 payline game with big winnings possible through the attached progressive jackpot. Beyond the allure of the big jackpot win, there are however no special features this fruit machine can boast of. It’s an old-fashioned game with a clean design that works well on both computers and mobile. Keep reading our Bell of Fortune slot review to find out more!
Look and Feel
The fruit machine gets a modern upgrade in Bell of Fortune. It’s all pretty classic with the old school fruit symbols like prunes, oranges and the bell. The reels are fat and wide so it’s clear to see. On the desktop version of the slot, you’ll see the pay table laid out on the right side so you can easily see the symbols you’re hoping for. This is hidden in the mobile slot, but you can easily access it in the Settings button.
How to Play
As a 1 payline game, it doesn’t really get much simpler than Bell of Fortune. You only need to decide how many coins to play on that 1 line. Coin value is always £0.25, and you can play 1 to 3 coins per spin. If you want to have a go at the jackpot, then you will have to play all 3 coins. It all adds up to a minimum bet of 25p a spin and going up to a maximum of 75p a spin.
There is an Autoplay function that lets you set the machine to spin by itself for up to 100 spins. To win, spin 3 matching symbols on the payline and you’ll be pocketing some coins.
Symbols in Bell of Fortune
Starting from the highest pay, here are the symbols in the Bell of Fortune slot:
· Bell (also Wild)
· Combination of the three fruit
· Symbols paired with the Bell
The Bell is the Wild symbol and can substitute other symbols to give you a payline, although wins involving the Wild will be significantly less than if it were 3 of the same symbols.
Special Features and Bonuses
Other than the Bell Wild symbol, the Bell of Fortune slot is an old school fruit machine that has no special features other than the progressive jackpot.
How to Win the Jackpot:
If you want to win the Bell of Fortune jackpot, make sure you are always spinning with 3 coins. Otherwise you won’t qualify for the top prize itself. You will need to land 3 of the Bell Wilds on the payline to claim the fortune. If you’re playing with 2 coins, then instead of the jackpot, 3 Bells will get you 1,600 coins. That’s still pretty hefty, but it’s no progressive jackpot payout!
Bell of Fortune Compared to Other Slots
Play ‘n Go has released a couple of other games that play very much like Bell of Fortune. Golden Goal and Gift Shop are both classic slots that have progressive jackpots attached. The only real difference between these two slots and Bell of Fortune is really just the theme. Golden Goal is a football theme while Gift Shop is pink with roses, chocolate hearts and teddies. The progressive jackpot in the Bell of Fortune slot may also be a bit bigger than in these two other games, as it is better known and more popular compared to the other two.
Blue Diamond from Realistic Games is also a 3-reel 1 line game, but unlike Bell of Fortune it does not have a jackpot attached. The game also has a greater range when it comes to betting size starting at 20p and going up to £80 a spin, which makes this game more appealing to high rollers.
Bell of Fortune Fairness
RTP for Bell of Fortune stands at 94.12%. This is alright for a classic slot, although not particularly exceptional as developers have been releasing fruit machines with higher RTPs that are comparable to video slots in the last couple of years. Payouts aren’t neither frequent nor big, although considering that you are only betting 75p a spin with a shot at a jackpot prize, this is more or less ok.
Tips for Bell of Fortune
Our only piece of advice for playing Bell of Fortune is to always play with the max bet of 3 coins. 75p really isn’t that much in the end, and it would be a major bummer to finally get 3 of the Bell symbols but only score 1,600 coins instead of taking home the progressive payout!
Hype or Not?
Bell of Fortune is a fine fruit machine but it’s not going to be everyone’s idea of a good time. It’s a great slot to kick back to, but the regular payouts are on the thin side and it’s hard to get too excited about that. On the other hand, there is a progressive jackpot that could make you a few grand richer, and for just £0.75 a spin, the Bell of Fortune slot could be a good choice for jackpot fans.
Perhaps the most well-known among Play ‘n Go’s progressive fruit machines, Bell of Fortune is a simple 3 reel 1 payline game that can deliver a handsome amount when you get 3 Bell Wilds on the payline. There isn’t much otherwise to this game, other than good old fashioned spinning, and while the modest payouts didn’t have us gripping the edge of our seats, Bell of Fortune will certainly appeal to jackpot players who are looking for a more straightforward game to deliver their fortune.
