Diamond Inferno Review

Look and Feel

Diamond Inferno is a red-hot slot provided by Triple Edge Studios released via their umbrella company Microgaming. This slot has five reels, 20 paylines and three rows … to start off with. You will notice that when you load up this game there are another three rows above the three that are in play, but that these are greyed out. By playing this game you will be able to uncover these bonus rows and therefore greatly increase your chances of winning a decent payout. If you want to find out how you do this, then you will just have to keep reading this Diamond Inferno review!

Jackpot

This game does not have a progressive jackpot linked to it. You are still able to win a decent amount of cash playing this game though, especially once you have hit the ‘multiplier trail’. Make sure you check the T&Cs of the casino where you play this game, as they may limit the amount you can win.

Play for Real Money

Diamond Inferno will not be available for play money in the UK, due to the restrictions put in place by the UKGC. There are plenty of places when you will be able to play Diamond Inferno for real cash though, as countless sites carry Microgaming titles. One such site is Slots Million, which is one that comes with a hearty recommendation from us here at JustSlots. If you register an account there, make sure you check out any offers that may be available to you.

Rules

To begin your descent into the Diamond Inferno you need to select the size of your bet, which can be anything from £0.20 to £20.00.

There’s nothing unusual about how wins are paid out when it comes to this slot. You need to land a minimum of three identical symbols in sequence on an active payline, starting from the left-hand reel. Wins are paid as multiples of your bet in line with the following table:

Every win you land playing this slot is gifted with a free respin.

The playing area starts with three rows. Every time you win one of the rows above the main play area becomes active. In addition, ten extra paylines are added. If you win with your respin then a further row and ten paylines are added, up to a maximum of six rows and 50 paylines. If you fail to win via a respin then the number of rows is reset back to three, and the number of paylines back to the default of 20.

Once you have unlocked the maximum playing area you now unlock the ‘multiplier trail’ too. This commences at x2 and then cycles through x3, x5 and x10 with each subsequent win. The trail will max out at x10 and will close when a non-winning respin is encountered. All wins are paid at the current multiplier rate.

A blue diamond is a scatter symbol. You need to land three scatters in order to secure a payout, and the more rows you have unlocked, the more you will be paid. To help you in this regard, the value of each scatter is presented upon the blue diamond symbol.

The wild symbol in this game substitutes for all other symbols, aside from the scatter symbol. Both the wild symbol and scatter symbol only appear on the middle three reels.

Graphics and Sounds

This game is played alongside a track that is driven by a solo guitar. It kind of fits in well with the ‘inferno’ aspect of this title, but it’s not one that’s likely to have you rocking the night away. Wins are celebrated with guitar stabs, and once you have won a few times the musical track really amps up – the drums, base and rhythm guitar kick in and you may now actually find that your toes start tapping. Sadly, if you experience a losing streak the plainer soundtrack kicks back in. A devilish voice will also appear to announce your march up the multiplier trail.

Graphically this slot is not up to much, but then flashiness is not really needed. The background is a wall of flame, and the reels are set on fire (not literally) when you win, with golden coins flying from the screen and into your credit bank. It’s balanced perfectly in line with this slot so that it doesn’t detract from the gameplay.

Conclusion

Diamond Inferno is definitely a hot slot. Some slots players may look at it and dismiss it as old-fashioned, but that’s your attitude you are really likely to miss out. Why not put on your flame-retardant suit and give Diamond Inferno a spin at one of JustSlot’s recommended slots or casino sites?
