Druids’ Dream Review

Look and Feel

Druids are a dreamy lot. If you’ve no idea what a druid is, then as ever here at JustSlots we consider it our remit to educate you. A druid is a member of any ancient Celtic culture, and by ‘Celtic’ we don’t mean that football team which plays in green and white hoops. The Celts were an ancient British people who, upon the invasion of the Romans between 43 and 87 AD, were pushed back to remote areas of Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Cornwall. It’s no wonder the Brits voted for Brexit!

This lovely-looking NetEnt game is initially only available at the LeoVegas casino, but will eventually be available at all online casinos that have NetEnt games, which of course is most of them!

Jackpot

This game does not have a progressive jackpot. The jackpot amount you can win is for landing either five wilds, or five white wolf symbols on a payline. This will win you the maximum payout of 100 coins, but this can be multiplied by other factors in the game.

Play for Real Money

As mentioned previously, this slot is initially exclusive to the fine wagering establishment which is LeoVegas, and you can only play it for real money, and then only if you sign up for a LeoVegas account. When other casino sites in the UK are allowed access to this game, you may be able to play it for play money if you so wish. We at JustSlots though have nothing but positive vibes about LeoVegas, and consider it to be one of the best online casinos for UK players.

Rules

Getting dreamy with the Druids is not a tough ask. To get cracking you only need to select your coin size, which can be anything from £0.01 to £20.00. There are forty paylines but it only costs 20 coins per spin, making your total bet a value between £0.20 and £400.00.

Wilds appear as single symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 in the main game, on the middle reel for a re-spin and on the far left-hand and right-hand reels during free spins. Stacked wilds appear on reels 2 and 4 during the main game and any re-spin, then the middle reel as well during free spins. Wilds substitute for all other symbols.

A win needs to contain at least three identical symbols in sequence from the left-hand reel onwards. Wins are paid as the following multiple of your coin value:

There are three, non-paying scatter symbols that appear in this game – Male Druid, Female Druid and Bear. They can appear at the bottom of the wild stacks on reel 2, or on top of wilds on reel 4 (main game and re-spins). They appear in the middle of the wild stack on the central reel during free spins. Scatters are also wilds.

If you land a complete stack of wilds and scatters then one scatter will charge up to activate a re-spin. Charged wilds also active re-spins. All triggering wilds and scatters remain in place throughout re-spins.

During re-spins if any stack of wilds lands that does not contain a scatter then the ‘nudge’ feature is activated. This will nudge the reels in the hope of landing another scatter.

If you land a scatter on reel 2 and reel 4 on the same spin then you trigger the free spins feature. You are awarded six free spins plus one bonus spin per charged wild. All scatters and wilds that activated the free spins remain on the reels until your free spins have been completed.

During free spins any scatter symbol that lands on reel three together with wilds will trigger an additional three free spins.

Graphics and Sounds

Well, it’s a NetEnt slot, so what were you expecting, exactly? Horrible looking symbols that looked as if they were designed by a 12-year-old then rendered using Microsoft Paint? Nope, the symbols used in this game are well up to NetEnt’s superb standards, and play takes place in front of a forest backdrop. As usual with any NetEnt slot, this game looks as good as it plays!

We must also give a solid thumbs up to NetEnt for the ‘musical’ choice for this game. If you have one of those ‘sleep’ apps that you use on the nights you’re struggling to find your way to the land of nod, then listening to the background music for ‘Druids’ Dream’ should remind you of what you hear when you set the app to ‘nature sounds’. The music is very gentle – and indeed, dreamy – and is backed by a gentle chorus of birdsong and other soothing sounds. In fact if it wasn’t for the great gameplay, playing this slot would send you to sleep!

Conclusion

Here at JustSlots we are never ones to hide the fact that we love NetEnt’s games, so for us hearing about a forthcoming NetEnt slot is like the anticipation when Christmas approaches! And boy, have NetEnt treated us with another classic here! With unique features not seen in other games, including that old ‘one armed bandit’ characteristic the ‘nudge’, this genuinely is a very nice game to play. That soothing soundtrack is not to be missed, either!

If you want to see if Druids’ Dream will be your latest dream of a slot, why not sign up at LeoVegas and take it for a few enchanting spins?
