Giza: Infinity Reels Review

Look and Feel

Just like modern movies, slots are becoming less and less like single entities these days, and instead are becoming franchised, like the Age of the Gods and the Kingdom’s Rise series. Now the relatively-unknown software firm Reel Play (via Relax Gaming) have gotten in on the act with the ‘Infinity Reels’ series which commenced with El Dorado, and now has received a second title – Giza.

This slot has an Egyptian theme, which you really should have guessed already. Just in case you hadn’t guessed, Giza is a long-established city in Egypt which is home to three of the largest pyramids in the entire country – tombs for revered Egyptian kings Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus.

This game has a jackpot, but it does not have a progressive one as such. The maximum you can win is 888 times your total bet. This is achieved by any spin that results in 12 or more reels being added to the playing arena. If this sounds hard to understand, then keep reading!

Play for Real Money

If you are based in the UK, then it is very unlikely that you will be able to play this game for play money, due to UKGC restrictions. There are several places where you can play for real money though (and some sites will allow you to play for play money once you are registered. One place you should be able to sample Giza: Infinity Reels at is Casinoland. This is one of JustSlots’ favourite places to play slots and casino games. When you visit make sure you check out the bonuses the site offers.

Commencing play for this game is simple – just select your coin size. Each spin costs twenty coins to play. The lowest total bet size is £0.20, and the biggest is £100.

There are no paylines in this game. Identical symbols simply have to land on consecutive reels in sequence from the left-hand reel onwards. Wins are calculated by the number of symbols participating in the win, multiplied by the coin value. Wins must contain at least five symbols.

Coins per symbol

Eye of Horus

Crook and Flail

Don’t worry if this concept sounds a little complicated – we are here to explain it to you! Say you land two Ankh symbols on reel one, one on reel two and two on reel three. You’ve landed a win containing five symbols, so you win ten coins (2 x 5).

The Scarab Beetle acts as wild symbol in this game and substitutes for all other symbols, aside from the Pyramid symbol.

The Pyramid symbol is a scatter symbol in this game and if you land a win containing Pyramid symbols then you earn yourself ten free spins. If you land a further Pyramid symbol during your free spins then you are awarded four extra free spins to the total. During free spins the current value of the win multiplier (see below) is raised by one for each win up to maximum of five and decreased by one for each loss down to a minimum of one.

All spins in this game commence with three reels. Any win containing symbols in the right-hand reel will see an extra reel be added to the right-hand side. Any symbol that then improves this win will add another reel, and so on (potentially) to infinity. Each reel addition adds one to the overall multiplier too. Once no more reels are added, the number of symbols contained in the triggering win are counted up, multiplied by the ‘coins per symbol’ value as in the table above and then by the overall multiplier to calculate the final win value.

Any win that contains at least a dozen reels receive a win of 888 times your total bet.

All free spins wins can be gambled up to a maximum of five times. The greater in value the current size of your bet multiplier, the more chance you have of your gamble being successful.

Graphics and Sounds

The graphics in Giza: Infinity Reels are pretty basic. Indeed, this game could have been created in 2010, not 2020. There’s a bit of flashing whenever you land a win, and the Scarab Beetle wild flexes its wings whenever it appears. The backdrop is of the Pyramids of Giza themselves, but the playing screen completely obscures them.

Audio-wise, it’s about the same. The background music is slightly Egyptian sounding, and there are the usual fanfares whenever something exciting happens, or is about to happen. At least the soundtrack is a little more than a musical sting, meaning that it doesn’t start to annoy during a prolonged playing session.

Do you like complicated slots? Well, then Giza: Infinity Reels is probably just what you are looking for! Actually, this slot is not as complicated as it might sound – it’s just unique. Once you land a winning combo and the reels start to grow, a couple of tiny symbols appear towards the right of the screen telling you the number of symbols that are currently contained in any winning combination. It’s certainly a unique approach, and we’re always happy to see a software company trying something a little different.
